4TH-6TH TACKLE FOOTBALL

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Tackle 4th-6th Grade

4th, 5th & 6th grade will play traditional tackle football against other teams from the Forest Lake Youth Football League. Teams will typically practice 2-3 times per week and play 1-2 games per week. The focus will be on development of fundamentals and learning the game of football in an encouraging and fun atmosphere. Games and practices may be any day of the week except Wednesdays and Sundays.

Ages

This registration is for those players going into 4th, 5th or 6th grade in Fall of 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.

When & Where

Season begins with evaluations at the end of July and runs until playoffs in October.

Games

Teams will play 7-10 games over the course of the season and they will usually fall on Saturdays but occasionally on Tuesdays, and/or Thursdays.

Games may be played at Sandquist Fields and/or any one of the other cities in the league.

Practices

Team practices are 2-3 times per week at our Sandquist Football Fields in Cambridge.

Each team's coach will determine practice schedules and locations of practices when teams get announced at the beginning of August.

Pricing

Early Bird Registration (February 1st - May 23rd) = $285
Standard Registration (May 24th - June 30th) = $310
Late Registration (July 1st - July 27th) = $410

Registration cut-off to be able to play in the first game, is July 27th.

This year we are offering payment plans for each phase of registration listed above. If you are interested, please look for this option during the registration process.

Additional Costs

Equipment Deposit

There is a $100 equipment deposit that is required for each registration (cash or check) due by Equipment Handout on August 2nd at Sandquist Football fields, in order to receive your helmet, shoulder pads and practice jersey.

Upon completion of the season, you will receive your deposit back at Equipment Return on November 1st at Sandquist Football fields, on as long as all items are accounted for; helmet, shoulder pads and practice jersey.

Volunteering (DIBS) Requirement

Due to the continued growth of our youth football program, each player’s family is required to complete 4 volunteer (DIBS) hours during the season.

Families who complete all required DIBS hours will not be charged a volunteer fee.
During registration, families may choose to opt out of volunteering by paying a $200 non-refundable volunteer deposit.
If DIBS hours are not completed or only partially completed, the $200 volunteer deposit will be charged to the card on file or collected by cash or check.

Important Note:

Volunteer/DIBS shifts will be posted closer to the start of the season, typically by mid July.

Jerseys & Customization:

Customizable jerseys will be purchased this season, and players will keep their jersey top.

Cost: $75 per player.
