4TH-6TH TACKLE FOOTBALL

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Tackle 4th-6th

4th, 5th & 6th grade will play traditional tackle football against other teams from the Forest Lake Youth Football League. Teams will typically practice 2-3 times per week and play 1-2 games per week. The focus will be on development of fundamentals and learning the game of football in an encouraging and fun atmosphere. Games and practices may be any day of the week except Wednesdays and Sundays.

Ages

This registration is for those players going into 4th, 5th or 6th grade in Fall of 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year.

Please note: Our system will place your player into a specific grade based off of the birthday parameters. If you notice after entering their birthday that the system is placing your player into the incorrect grade, there will be another question later in the registration process where you will manually select the appropriate grade for your player. This will allow us to make sure that you player is in the correct grade level for the season!

When & Where

Season begins with evaluations at the end of July and runs until playoffs in October.

Games

Teams will play 7-10 games over the course of the season and they will usually fall on Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Saturdays.

Games may be played at Sandquist Fields and/or any one of the other cities in the league.

Practices

Team practices are 2-3 times per week at our Sandquist Football Fields in Cambridge.

Each team's coach will determine practice schedules and locations of practices when teams get announced at the beginning of August.

Pricing

Early Bird Registration (May 1st-15th) = $285
Standard Registration (May 16th-June 30th) = $310
Late Registration (July 1st-up to start of Season) = $410

This year we are offering payment plans for each phase of registration listed above. If you are interested, please look for this option during the registration process.

Additional Costs

Equipment Deposit

There is a $100 equipment deposit that is required for each registration (cash or check). This is required by Equipment Handout on August 3rd at Sandquist Football fields, in order to receive your helmet, shoulder pads and practice jersey.

Upon completion of the season, you will receive your deposit back at Equipment Return on October 26th at Sandquist Football fields, on as long as all items are accounted for; helmet, shoulder pads and practice jersey.

Volunteering (DIBS)

Due to the expansion of the Youth program and growing needs within the organization, this year we will be requiring Volunteer Hours (DIBS) from each players family.

This will be a $200 check or cash deposit that you will need to write at Equipment Handout. Each players family is responsible for completing 2 credits of volunteered time throughout the season. Upon completion of your DIBS, your check or cash will be returned to you, and your DIBS will be considered completed.

If you decide that you are unable to complete your DIBS, or fulfill only a portion of your hours, your check or cash will be deposited.

Through registration, you will also have the option to opt in just paying the $200 volunteer deposit without completing any volunteer credit but your cash or check will be deposited and not returned.

Jerseys

We will be purchasing new jerseys and padded pants this season, which are fully customizable. This cost for your full personalized jersey will be $75, and each player will be able to keep their top and bottoms at the end of the season.

During registration you may request your top 3 choices for jersey numbers (we will do our best to accommodate each players request but it is not guaranteed), as well as specify what your players last name is for the back of their jersey customization.
